UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI’S PANHELLENIC COUNCIL REBRANDING

The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) is the governing body of 1,300 empowered members divided into 11 sorority chapters. The governing body is made up of eight women from a diverse makeup of chapters, where my role on the Executive Board is the Vice President of Marketing. The position I hold has not only provided me with an extraordinary platform for excelling in leadership, design, communication, and marketing but has also allowed me to contribute significantly to our community's evolution. It's been a transformative journey that has facilitated my personal growth and skill enhancement.

THEME EXPLORATIONS:

Throughout this year, in my role, I recognized the profound significance of directing my focus toward shaping this year's recruitment theme. As a recent bylaw change, with the removal of gender specific terms, it was important to emphasis this knowledge as well as an open, collaborative and diverse recruitment throughout our community. The theme I coined as “Something of Value” followed by a modern design where each color utilized represents a “value” of CPC (College Panhellenic Council). This theme encourages members to dive deep into their potential in this community and what the community has to offer- a truly invaluable experience

OPTION 1: SOMETHING OF VALUE

Each color utilized in this layout has a CPC “value” associated with the deeper meaning of the fundamentals of this community. Popular design trends include gradients that add depth to simple color palettes, subtle textures that add complexity to flat backgrounds, bold type taking center stage, and different assets/chunky shapes reminding us of modernized memphis design patterns that work together to blend a 3D and 2D aesthetic.

OPTION 2: TOGETHER WITH PANHELLENIC

The color palette has a wide range emphasizes uniqueness of everyone and the tight-knit community we have how all the different shapes are touching. With the use of “candy colors” it creates a bold and positive feel. Bold abstract shapes will allow media posts to stand out with an interesting visual layer.

OPTION 3: YOU BELONG HERE

“You Belong Here” allows every member and potential new member to feel welcomed. This is a goal of ours with diversity that we will see grow over the next few years. “You” is the strongest word that can be phrased in a title and by putting each word on a separate line adds emphasis. Soft gradients compliments bold type.

FINAL THEME 2023-2024: “SOMETHING OF VALUE”

Guided by this theme, I've created the Potential New Member Handbook, an official website, t-shirt designs, and the development of graphics, templates, and visual assets crucial to our marketing strategies. Simultaneously, I have the responsibility of overseeing social media chairs across all 11 chapters and design directors, as well as managing CPC's social media platforms. This multifaceted role involves curating a consistent stream of weekly posts, captivating stories, videography, photography, and strategic paid advertisements. I also lead and participate in bi-weekly Executive Board meetings and Community meetings.
