BRAND OVERVIEW:

Gorilla Glue has a broad product portfolio, and I frequently work across multiple SKUs, adapting packaging and artwork files for different product formats, sizes, and print specifications while maintaining consistency with established brand guidelines. As the brand has recently undergone a rebrand focused on a tougher, more recognizable visual identity, I ensure that updated guidelines are accurately applied across packaging, marketing materials, and product assets while preserving clarity, consistency, and brand impact.

  • Gorilla Glue, Super Glue, Wood Glue, Epoxy, Construction Adhesive, Craft Glues, Spray Adhesive

  • Gorilla Tape, Mounting Solutions, Specialty Tapes

  • 100% Silicones, Foam Sealant, Garage Floor, Waterproofing Spray, Waterproofing Tape, Waterproofing Paste, Waterproofing Liquid

End‑to‑end artwork execution, from dielines and prepress setup to final production and vendor coordination, ensuring files were print‑ready and brand‑aligned across packaging, signage, and digital outputs. Whether working on a conceptual product or a real-world production piece, I collaborate cross-functionally to guide projects through each stage of the design and production process.

PROJECT OVERVIEW: GORILLA GLUE MINIS IN-PACK BLISTERED

  1. Developing and interpreting the concept brief: Gorilla Glue Original Minis (2–3g) in-pack blistered tubes developed within a new packaging architecture for the customer, Dollar General, incorporating electronic theft protection. Collaborated cross-functionally with sales and engineering while interpreting and designing from dielines, part numbers, and other technical specifications.

  2. Creating artwork layouts that align with the brand system, integrating designs into packaging dielines: Following hierarchy guidelines in the brand standards from logo, bonds list, color, power plaque, product swipe, icons, and regulatory. Conducting cross-functional reviews and edits on page proofs until final approval, and presenting in design reviews with digital renders and handmade mockups using overlabeling techniques for visual clarity.

  3. Preparing files for prepress with proper bleed, trim, and color settings: Utilizing preflight to verify resolution, color mode, bleeds, dielines, and fonts. Packaging files, embedding images, checking color settings, and reviewing DPI and design libraries to ensure accuracy.

  4. Export press-ready files and coordinate with vendors and printers to review proofs and ensure accuracy: Working with outsourced vendors, obtaining the best quotes, and confirming quality standards are met by requesting samples.

  5. Supporting the final print and production process to deliver high-quality finished materials: Approving final samples to enable production. Product evolves across multiple packaging types (decorated HSC & RSC) and touchpoints such as retail mockups, digital sales visuals, trade shows, and sales collateral.

Product then evolves into custom cut cases tailored to individual SKUs, with dielines adapted for structural integrity, print specifications, and efficient assembly. From there, the products are scaled into retail shelf displays, optimizing layout, hierarchy, and visual impact while maintaining print and production standards. Products progress to endcaps or large promotional displays, while preserving color accuracy and brand consistency throughout international regions.
